Bolduc honored for 30 years of service at Willis Chevrolet John Bolduc was surprised with a party in his honor on February 20 at Willis Chevrolet-Buick-Pontiac, marking the 30th anniversary of his employment with the Smyrna automobile dealership. Bolduc, who works as assistant manager of the collision center, started in the service department in 1979. He was promoted to parts manager then used car manager before moving to the collision center. What’s the biggest change he’s seen in 30 years? “You have to be much more customer service oriented,” Bolduc said. “People are much more demanding and rightly so, when you have some cars costing thirty and forty-thousand dollars. That’s a big investment. Competition is greater, too. When I started Honda, Toyota, Nissan – they weren’t much of a concern. They were small companies, and there weren’t any of those dealerships in Dover.” Bolduc said what he likes the most about his job are the people he gets to work with and the customers he’s met – and the opportunity to work with cars. “I’ve always been a car guy,” he said. “I’ve always wanted to be in the car business.” Isaac Willis of Willis Chevrolet said Bolduc is a great employee, co-worker, and friend. “His 30 years of dedication to the Willis family dealerships is outstanding,” Willis said. “John is well versed in many of the different departments within the dealerships. He has excelled in the parts department, pre-owned sales and management, and currently as the assistant manager in the collision center. We are blessed to have an employee who exceeds our customers’ expectations for over 30 years.”
